Abu Dhabi Customs won 3 awards at the GovMedia Conference 2024.

The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs received three prestigious awards at the “GovMedia” Conference 2024 in Singapore. The conference showcased outstanding government projects and initiatives across Asia. Abu Dhabi Customs was recognized for its pioneering efforts in launching innovative projects, adopting sustainable solutions, and utilizing cutting-edge technology to enhance the customs work system and foster a culture of excellence and creativity.

The awards received by Abu Dhabi Customs include the “Campaign of the Year” award for applying best international practices and standards during the launch of its corporate identity and new logo. The new logo symbolizes a trade gateway connecting Abu Dhabi to the world by air, land, and sea, and reflects simplicity, modernity, and innovation with a focus on sustainability through the use of advanced technology.

Additionally, Abu Dhabi Customs won the “Digital Initiative of the Year Award - Customs category” for its smart inspection system, which utilizes augmented reality glasses to conduct customs inspections without the need for the customer to be present. This system facilitates procedures, speeds up inspections, and provides excellent customer service by reducing time and effort.

Furthermore, Abu Dhabi Customs received the “Disaster Management of the Year Award - Customs category” for its IT Disaster Management initiative, which ensures smooth automated transition between main data centers and disaster recovery centers, enhancing data reliability, security, and continuity of customs operations.
