Al Qasimia University and Sharjah Charity International have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on building the capabilities of national cadres, exchanging experiences to support societal goals for sustainable development, and implementing charitable projects to support programs teaching the Arabic language and Holy Qur'anic sciences in Africa.

The MoU was signed on Monday at the university's headquarters in Sharjah. The agreement was signed by Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the SCI, and Professor Jamal Al Tarifi, President of Al Qasimia University, with several officials present.

Al Qasimi stated that this agreement builds on the collaborative efforts between the association and the university, further strengthening their partnership. It also aims to launch educational projects in West African countries to promote the Arabic language and the Holy Qur'an among children and citizens of those countries.

He confirmed that the first joint project between the two sides, a center for memorizing the Holy Qur'an in the Republic of Ghana, has been completed. Additionally, many educational projects will be implemented in the countries included in the association's aid programs. The university will also provide teachers for these centers.

Al Tarifi stated that the MoU aims to facilitate the exchange of professional experiences in training and scientific research. It also seeks to organize scientific conferences and forums to discuss the latest developments and best practices in charitable and humanitarian work.

Additionally, the agreement aims to promote the culture of charitable and volunteer work among Al Qasimia University students, who represent over 123 nationalities from various countries.
