Burjeel Holdings has announced the establishment of the Burjeel Institute for Global Health in the United States. The launch event was attended by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the Minister of State for Foreign Trade, who highlighted the UAE's efforts, in partnership with international collaborators, to advance global health through research and education.
The institute's inauguration was marked by high-level discussions focusing on cancer care and technological innovations. Dr. Ashwin Vasan, Commissioner of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and a diverse group of global experts participated in these discussions.
Dr. Al Zeyoudi emphasized the UAE's commitment to elevating healthcare by fostering R&D partnerships, implementing best practices in UAE hospitals, and investing in technology. He also stressed the importance of collaborative efforts from the private sector, academia, regulators, and NGOs in addressing critical health challenges such as cancer.
Dr. Al Zeyoudi expressed hope that the Burjeel Institute for Global Health would become a hub for pioneering cancer research, treatment, and drug development while facilitating partnerships and knowledge sharing.
