China issues yellow alert for rainstorms again.
China's national observatory has issued a renewed yellow alert for rainstorms due to heavy rainfall expected in several regions of the country. The China National Meteorological Center stated that from Saturday morning to Sunday morning, downpours are expected in parts of Guizhou, Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Anhui, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Heilongjiang. Some of these regions could experience short-term heavy rainfall, with hourly precipitation reaching 80 mm or more, along with thunderstorms and gales. Local governments have been urged to make appropriate preparations and inspect drainage systems in cities, farmlands, and fishponds. China uses a four-tier, color-coded weather warning system with red as the most severe, followed by orange, yellow, and blue.
