China Tang restaurant is opening a branch in Dubai soon
Dubai is set to welcome the famous high-end Chinese restaurant, China Tang, which is opening soon at The Lana, Dorchester Collection Dubai, in Business Bay. The restaurant is renowned for its classic Chinese and Cantonese dishes, and its signature Peking Duck. It is inspired by the art-deco era of 1930s Shanghai, and features a maximalist, Art Deco aesthetic complete with intricate design details.
The Middle East’s first China Tang outpost will be located in Dubai's Dorchester property, The Lana. The original China Tang restaurant is located in the iconic Dorchester Hotel in London and has been serving customers since 2005. Since then, it has expanded to Hong Kong and Beijing, and is known for its upscale Cantonese cuisine.
The restaurant is part of the Hong Kong-based Lai Sun Dining, a member of the Lai Sun Group, who operates some of Hong Kong’s most renowned restaurants, as well as the China Tang brand worldwide. Their private dining rooms in London have hosted dinners for everyone from model Kate Moss to British Royal Princess Eugenie.
The Dubai venue's interiors are yet to be unveiled, but it is expected to follow the same style as the London venue, with a maximalist, Art Deco aesthetic complete with intricate design details. The new venue will join an impressive collection of restaurants and bars at The Lana, including a duo of concepts from star chef Jean Imbert, rooftop bar High Society, and elegant Mediterranean restaurant Riviera, plus Jara, a refined ode to the Basque region by chef Martín Berasategui.
