Emirates Nature-WWF has launched the 'Nature's Resilience' series.

Emirates Nature-WWF has launched its second free summer training series called ‘Nature’s Resilience’ to educate the UAE community about nature and the environment. The series is part of the Leaders of Change program and aims to provide nature enthusiasts and change-makers with knowledge about environmental issues and conservation solutions for a sustainable future.

The Nature’s Resilience series consists of 10 engaging sessions that offer a virtual exploration of the diverse life in the UAE, including the desert, oases, freshwater habitats, and coastal regions. Participants will gain insight into the biodiversity of the UAE, the impact of climate change, and its connection to our well-being.

The series will feature interactive masterclasses and workshops led by experts, focusing on biodiversity conservation and sustainable stewardship practices to mitigate climate change and preserve the UAE’s natural heritage. Participants completing a minimum of seven sessions will receive a certificate acknowledging their commitment to environmental conservation in the UAE.

Arabella Willing, Head of Conservation Outreach and Citizen Science at Emirates Nature-WWF, expressed delight in launching the Nature’s Resilience series, emphasizing its action-oriented approach to prepare the community for positive impact through citizen science and conservation field trips after the summer.

This series follows the success of last year’s Climate and Nature Series, which provided training to nearly 1,000 individuals on environmental issues, receiving a satisfaction rating of 98%. The focus this year is on UAE’s unique biodiversity, highlighting rare and endangered species, pollinators, migratory and resident birds, and desert dwellers.
