"FNC Speaker emphasizes the essential role of Emirati women in driving development."

Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), emphasized the influential role and outstanding achievements of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak (The Mother of the Nation). She serves as the Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation. She is dedicated to empowering Emirati women and is regarded as a role model for women globally.

In his statement commemorating Emirati Women’s Day, the FNC Speaker highlighted the collaborative approach embraced by the UAE since its inception by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. This approach involves engaging all segments of society to realize the country’s vision. Ghobash also stressed that achieving sustainability requires unified actions and is a shared responsibility for all.

Ghobash explained that Emirati women play a strategic role in driving sustainability through various avenues, whether within their families by setting a positive example, or in professional and societal spheres.

The significant accomplishments of Emirati women are a testament to the late Sheikh Zayed's vision, which aimed to ensure equal participation of women in nation-building. These achievements are also in alignment with the renewed focus on women's empowerment led by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.
