Friday sermon and prayer should not exceed 10 minutes, starting tomorrow according to AWQAF.

The General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat (AWQAF) has instructed all preachers in its mosques across the UAE to keep the Friday sermon short. The aim is to ensure that the combined duration of the sermon and prayer does not exceed 10 minutes, effective from tomorrow, Friday, 28th June, until early October. This measure is implemented to ensure the safety of worshippers and to accommodate those who visit the mosques, especially during the hot summer months.
