On International Youth Day, Al Neyadi emphasized that UAE Youth are the nation's sustainable wealth.
Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, emphasized that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, considers youth as a valuable asset that needs to be nurtured and equipped with future skills. The country aims to invest in their potential in line with its comprehensive development vision and its efforts to stay competitive globally.
In an interview with the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on International Youth Day, Dr. Al Neyadi highlighted that empowering youth is a fundamental legacy and an established approach in the UAE since the time of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The late Sheikh believed in the capabilities of the youth and positioned them as the main drivers of significant achievements in all fields.
He also noted the significance of this year's International Youth Day in the UAE, following the recent launch of the "National Youth Agenda 2031". This agenda aims to foster Emirati youth as prominent role models, both locally and globally, reinforcing their values, and encouraging their meaningful contributions to economic, social development, and national responsibility.
The agenda outlines five strategic goals for the Emirati youth, emphasizing their role as major contributors to national economic growth, promoting community engagement while upholding Emirati values, driving positive global change, staying updated with advancements in technology, and ensuring high proficiency in future skills, as well as enjoying excellent health and quality of life.
Dr. Al Neyadi delved into the theme of this year's International Youth Day, “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development”, underlining the UAE's commitment to keeping pace with digital trends and making substantial advancements in this domain. He stressed that empowering youth with digital tools, artificial intelligence, and other modern sciences will be pivotal for progress in the present and the future.
