"Sultan Al Neyadi emphasizes empowering Emirati students abroad as a key focus for UAE leadership."

Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, highlighted the importance of staying connected with students studying abroad and implementing initiatives to enhance their skills. These initiatives aim to create an educational environment that fosters the capabilities of young people and promotes the exchange of knowledge through collaboration.

These comments were made during a session titled "Emirati Students in Australia," which was organized by the Federal Youth Authority in partnership with the UAE Embassy in Sydney, Australia. The session was attended by Dr. Al Neyadi and Dr. Fahad Al Taffaq, the UAE Ambassador to Australia, along with more than 120 participants, including scholarship students.

The session focused on developing training programs to help Emirati students adjust to life abroad, organizing social events for exchanging experiences and building relationships, and conducting guidance sessions to help students choose suitable academic paths. Additionally, the event organized sports and science competitions, as well as discussions about innovation and debates to enhance competitiveness and skills development.

An interactive electronic platform was introduced to assist graduate students in guiding new students and helping them integrate into society.

Dr. Al Neyadi emphasized, "The directives of our wise leadership emphasize the importance of listening to the voices of the youth and providing them with opportunities to share their ideas. Empowering youth in decision-making processes is vital for sustainable development. By investing in human capabilities, we are equipping our national workforce with crucial skills in key sectors that enhance our future ambitions and drive the success of our nation."

He added, "This youth session provided students with an interactive platform to present their suggestions and discuss their future ambitions, fostering communication and idea-sharing. It demonstrates our dedication to providing comprehensive support to our overseas students and ensuring an outstanding educational journey for them."

Dr. Al Taffaq pointed out, "The forum was a valuable opportunity to discuss the challenges facing students on scholarships abroad. It also brought together UAE youth living abroad for study or work."

The attendees discussed important topics such as education, the environment and climate change, the future and artificial intelligence, and other critical topics contributing to the country's sustainable development.

The young participants covered various topics, shedding light on the challenges faced by Emirati youth studying in Australian universities, such as adapting to cultural and social life abroad, building connections with peers, academic challenges, time management, and career paths in the sciences.

The session also addressed the global empowerment of Emirati youth, their role in representing the nation on the international stage, and how they can leverage the opportunities provided by the UAE to contribute to the nation's development goals.
