TDRA is hosting a forum on "Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development."
The Telecommunications & Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), represented by TDRA Youth Council, organized the "Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development" forum in conjunction with International Youth Day, observed on 12 August every year. This initiative aims to support and realize the visions outlined by the UAE government to achieve the objectives of the Year of Sustainability 2024 "Plan to Action."
The Forum commenced with a speech by TDRA's Director-General, Engineer Majed Sultan Al Mesmar, where he highlighted the continuous support provided by the leadership to the youth and their crucial role in shaping the sustainable future of the UAE. He emphasized the intersection of digitization and sustainability, referencing the historical trajectory of UAE's governmental action and the role of youth in driving progress.
Eng. Mohammed Bushlaibi, Chairman of the Youth Council and Manager of Information Security Services at TDRA, discussed TDRA's strategy in empowering youth in the digital sphere and equipping them with the skills to address future challenges. He also highlighted initiatives such as the recently launched TDRA Virtual Camp, focusing on sustainability, game development, programming, and ChatGPT.
The forum also included a youth-led debate on the visible initiatives of the Federal Youth Authority, aiming to refine the skills of younger individuals and provide them with a platform to discuss key government trends in the UAE, particularly the ZGB program for government service development.
Additionally, the event was attended by representatives of youth councils from various organizations including the Community Development Authority (CDA), Dubai Municipality, Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD), Central Bank of UAE (CBUAE), RAK Educational Zone, and the Prime Minister's Office.
