The Federal Youth Authority and TRENDS are collaborating on scientific research to explore youth empowerment.
During a recent meeting, Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, met with a delegation from TRENDS Research and Advisory, headed by Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS. The discussion revolved around ways to strengthen and empower the role of youth through scientific research and future-oriented initiatives.
This collaboration is in line with the common objectives of the Federal Youth Authority and TRENDS to share expertise by forming constructive partnerships aimed at enhancing youth capabilities and empowering young individuals.
The conversation also focused on potential areas of cooperation to support human development and achieve sustainability goals.
Both parties emphasized the significance of scientific research in youth empowerment and future-building efforts, as well as the necessity for mutual cooperation in scientific research and support for initiatives by both sides through partnerships that strengthen various aspects of national action.
Dr. Sultan Al Neyadi expressed deep appreciation for TRENDS' global efforts, especially in youth empowerment, publications, and research outputs. He lauded the quality and diversity of these publications and commended TRENDS' dedication to empowering youth, enhancing their abilities, and refining their skills to foster innovation and learning, allowing them to actively contribute to future development.
He emphasized that the Authority's strategies are guided by the vision of the wise leadership regarding the importance of establishing targeted partnerships to support and empower youth and provide them with new opportunities to enhance their knowledge. Therefore, the Authority is eager to collaborate with TRENDS in various areas that contribute to honing youth skills, promoting global and specialized research, and enhancing the exchange of expertise.
Dr. Mohammed Al Ali stressed TRENDS' commitment to strengthening the capabilities of young researchers as future builders and leaders. He highlighted the importance of knowledge exchange and strategic and institutional development to foster innovation and support capacities in all areas.
TRENDS researchers briefed Al Neyadi and the attendees on the center's activities, emphasizing its role as an independent, globally-oriented research institution that seeks to enhance partnerships for comprehensive knowledge and contribute to anticipating the future. They also presented TRENDS' research efforts and initiatives aimed at youth empowerment, including the TRENDS Youth Council and other youth-focused programs.
