The First Lady of the Philippines visits the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

Louise Araneta-Marcos, the First Lady of the Philippines, recently visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. She was accompanied by Alfonso Ferdinand, the Ambassador of the Philippines to the UAE, as well as Mohamed Obaid Alqataam Alzaabi, the UAE Ambassador to the Philippines, and Dr. Yousef Al Obaidli, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre in Abu Dhabi.

During the visit, the delegation received information about the mosque's message, which emphasizes values such as coexistence, tolerance, and openness to other cultures. This message is inspired by the late Founding Father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's rich legacy. They also learned about the mosque's role in promoting the true essence of Islamic culture and facilitating cross-cultural communication on a global scale.

At the end of the visit, the guests were presented with two publications from the Centre. The first publication, titled "Spaces of Light," showcased the winning photographs from the "Spaces of Light" photography award, an annual event organized by the Centre to celebrate the visual culture and scenic aesthetics of the mosque. The second publication, "Houses of God," focused on places of worship in Islamic history.
