The general organizational structure of SGLD has been approved by the Sharjah Ruler.

H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree approving the general organizational structure of the Sharjah Government Legal Department (SGLD).

The Decree states that the general organizational structure of the SGLD attached to this decree shall be approved. According to the decree, the Sharjah Executive Council will issue decisions on the detailed organizational structure of the department and the necessary decisions to implement this decree. This includes the approval of job descriptions for the tasks of the organizational units within the department, in accordance with their competencies. It also covers the creation, merger, or cancellation of any organizational units falling under the departments included within the general organizational structure.
