The Ministry of Health and Prevention has started conducting fieldwork for the National Health and Nutrition Survey 2024-2025.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has started the National Health and Nutrition Survey 2024–2025 in collaboration with partners including the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre, health authorities, and local statistical centres in the UAE. The survey aims to gather accurate data on the health and nutrition landscape in the UAE.

The survey campaign aims to update the health and nutrition database of the population and measure health performance indicators using an approved methodology. The data will support decision-makers in developing policies and strategies, measuring health and nutrition outcomes, and planning state-level health policies, in line with the vision of "We the UAE 2031."

Since announcing the campaign in May during a press conference, the ministry has launched an awareness campaign through various media channels and provided a unified number (80011111) to respond to inquiries and clarify all survey stages.

The Ministry has confirmed that the identity of the National Health and Nutrition Survey teams can be verified through their customised uniforms and ID cards. The teams consist of licensed and accredited researchers and statisticians working under the supervision of a higher committee.

The successful execution of the national health survey campaign depends on participants' cooperation in completing the electronic questionnaires. Dr. Hussain Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Under-Secretary for the Public Health Sector, emphasized that the collected data would enhance health service quality and improve public health across the nation.

The survey will be conducted through personal interviews during field visits, utilizing electronic questionnaires endorsed by the World Health Organisation and national health authorities, available in four languages—Arabic, English, Hindi, and Urdu. The survey will cover various health and nutrition indicators, and the ministry assures the confidentiality of the collected information for statistical and research purposes.

The National Health and Nutrition Survey 2024-2025 targets a large sample of 10,000 families for health survey and another 10,000 for nutrition survey, comprising 40 percent Emirati citizens and 60 percent expats, in addition to 2,000 workers, across different age groups and segments of society.
