The recent rule change in the UAE Golden Visa program eliminates the minimum down payment requirement of AED1m for real estate investments to qualify for the Golden Visa. As of January 24, 2024, investors can qualify for the Golden Visa by owning a property worth AED2 million or more, regardless of the down payment amount and the property’s status. The change is expected to stimulate increased investment in the real estate sector and attract a more diverse pool of investors.
