TRENDS and the Geneva School of Diplomacy have launched a strategic partnership and training programme.

The TRENDS International Training Institute, a subsidiary of TRENDS Research & Advisory, has announced a strategic partnership with the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations (GSD). This partnership aims to strengthen TRENDS' position in training and professional development and aligns with its goal of becoming a global leader in connecting think tanks and universities worldwide.

The agreement, signed at the TRENDS Conference Hall, states that the TRENDS Institute will offer professional training programs accredited by the GSD, including the Certificate of International Relations (CIR) and the Certificate of Advanced Studies in International Relations (CASIR). Additionally, the two parties will collaborate on developing joint research programs and publishing specialized academic papers.

Through this partnership, TRENDS and GSD aim to meet the increasing demand for expertise in diplomacy and international relations in the GCC region, providing educational opportunities for both students and professionals.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research & Advisory, stated, “This partnership will enhance our position as a regional center for education and training in diplomacy and international relations.” He also expressed the intention to offer distinguished training programs in international relations, political science, public diplomacy, and related fields to develop qualified individuals capable of addressing contemporary challenges in a rapidly changing world.

Dr. Colum Murphy, President of GSD, and Dr. Rakesh Krishnan, General Manager of GSD, jointly announced the partnership, highlighting that it comes at a time when the GCC region is increasingly recognized as a pivotal player in global diplomacy and international relations.

Dr. Mubarak Saeed Al-Shamsi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, emphasized the importance of training for skill development, empowerment, and capacity building to meet the current and future demands of the job market and developmental projects.
