UAE is taking part in the BRICS Parliamentary Forum drafting committee meeting.

Sarah Falaknaz, Member of the Federal National Council (FNC) Parliamentary Division, took part in a virtual meeting of the drafting committee for outcomes of the 10th BRICS Parliamentary Forum, set to take place on 11–12 July in St. Petersburg, Russia. During the meeting, they approved the final statement of the forum and discussed a protocol for a memorandum of understanding regarding the forum.

The UAE Parliamentary Division presented a set of proposals related to the memorandum, which were praised and accepted by the participants. The proposals included amending the clause related to the adoption of parliamentary capacity-building programs and another calling for encouraging BRICS parliamentary delegations to include women and youth in their official delegations attending the forum's meetings and events.
